After completing his studies, Sjoerd worked as a law clerk for six years with the Supreme Administrative Court. He also worked for a number of years at the Ministry of Finance.
Sjoerd possesses expert knowledge of environmental legislation (zoning, the environment, permits and permissions), open government and enforcement.
Sjoerd is a member of the legal team of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations responsible for drafting regulations under the new Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet)
Deputy Chair of the Appeal Committee of the municipality of Gooise Meren.
Sjoerd is also a member of the Administrative Law Association, the Environmental Law Association and the Association of Construction Lawyers.
